Nestled in the hills above Runaway Bay on 88 acres of land lies Mt. Pleasant.

Off the entrance foyer is the dining room, with its antique Murano glass chandelier and painted mahogany dining table, which opens into a cozy breakfast nook leading into the kitchen. The kitchen boasts an original fireplace made of local cut-stone.

The huge living area spans the width of the house. French doors open at either end onto the spacious veranda at the front of the house, with its spectacular views of trees and coastline, or at the back, with its large lawn and Wedgwood blue fountain. A separate seating area with tongue and groove wood paneled ceilings, houses the TV set with satellite for those who wish to stay connected.

Adjoining the sitting area is a games room which is also the width of the house. More French doors open onto an enclosed and partly shaded patio area.

For the more active guests, to the west of the house lies the tennis court. At the front is the pool area as well as a small putting green. A fitness gym can be found in an adjacent building. Best of all is the nature path, which winds 1.5 miles through the property. The property also provides access to the beach at Runaway Bay, a 10 minute drive down the hill. For golfers, green fees are paid for guests at the Breezes Golf Course in Runaway Bay.

Four of the 5 bedrooms open off the living areas, each with a small entryway. As the house is a single storey they are all on the same level with the exception of one room, which has two small steps at the entrance.

All in all, Mt. Pleasant is the perfect vacation spot for those guests who want to experience Jamaica at it best. This villa can be rented with Sweet Spot for larger groups who wish to holiday together while still having a bit of additional privacy.
